absolutely killer rap line parts, in no particular order:

  1. I know I literally just posted about this but ! Yoongi’s verse in Outro: Tear, but also specifically in the live version when he does his “ay, yeah yeah burn it / ay, yeah yeah yeah burn it / ay, yeah yeah yeah burn it” and Namjoon comes in with the “타버린 재마저 남지 않게” 🔥
  2. the start of UGH when Yoongi goes “물기 시작하면 둥둥둥 동네북이 돼 둥둥둥” and they have those fuckin sickass drums
  3. Yoongi’s verse in DDAENG, esp “hunnit bae hunnit bar hunnit bbae hunnit bae” and the bits following that where he just laughs condescendingly. very excellent, 10/10.
  4. Namjoon’s verse in Cypher 3. just all of it. I love the other guys’ verses as well but tbph I would be fully okay with a version of this song that’s just fully Namjoon doing whatever he’s doing
  5. Hoseok’s “who got the best of me? who got the best of me?” (in… Best of Me… obviously) is A+. cannot and will not explain it
  6. Hoseok and Yoongi’s verses at the start of Mic Drop. they flow together really well. idk. idk!!
  7. every rap verse in IDOL, and also their “얼쑤 좋다”s
  8. all of Interlude: Shadow, esp the chorus: “please don’t let me shine, don’t let me down, don’t let me fly” like… wtf
  9. Namjoon’s verse in Spring Day. I don’t wanna talk about it
  10. the outro of Respect, where they’re just doing a lil nonsense skit in dialect
  11. Hoseok and Yoongi’s post-chorus sections in Run BTS. is this partly because of the fuckin sick choreo? maybe.
  12. all of Intro: Boy Meets Evil, but specifically “그래 병신 신 신”
  13. Namjoon’s verse in Dope, esp the bit where Yoongi comes in with his lil “ENEMY ENEMY ENEMY”/“ENERGY ENERGY ENERGY” thing
  14. obviously the iconic “불타오르네” in Fire
  15. last but not least: Hoseok’s verse in Boy in Luv, because it helped me learn Korean consonants and I refer to it even now when trying to remember their dictionary order gfjdklgjdfl

also honorable mention to technically-a-member-of-rap-line-but-not-really Jungkook for his parts in No More Dream, still absolutely legendary, will not tolerate any criticisms of it

Honestly, 100% agree with all of this, but Namjoon’s iconic verse in Ddaeng must be included. The stuttering, the soft voice, the lyrics. The overall swag of it that he has during the live performance. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.
